School Accommodation Infrastructure Initiative
Purpose
To strengthen school and caregiver systems so that students requiring medically gluten-free diets are supported through consistent, practical, and stigma-free implementation across educational and childcare settings.
2026 Pilot Scope
In 2026, the Foundation will develop and pilot structured accommodation resources designed to improve safety, communication, and shared responsibility within school environments.
Planned components include:
• Standardized family–school communication templates
• Classroom and cafeteria safety checklists
• Cross-contamination prevention guidance
• Training outlines for educators, aides, substitutes, and after-school staff
• Clear, caregiver-friendly explanations of medically required gluten-free needs
All materials will be designed for practical implementation and pilot evaluation.
2026 Measurable Objectives
As part of the Foundation’s 2026 SMART initiative, this program will:
• Contribute to the development of 3 standardized implementation guides
• Pilot materials in 5–10 partner school or community sites
• Collect structured administrator and caregiver feedback
• Inform a measurable impact summary report by December 2026
Impact Focus
This initiative improves student safety, increases caregiver confidence, and reduces preventable exposure incidents by replacing informal accommodation practices with structured, repeatable systems.
