Our Mission

The mission of the National Gluten-Free Family & Allies Foundation is to support families nationwide who are navigating medically required gluten-free living by providing accessible education, practical tools, and community-based resources that promote stability, confidence, and long-term wellbeing.

Why We Exist

Families managing gluten-free living often encounter gaps in education and support—particularly beyond the individual diagnosed. The Foundation exists to address these gaps by supporting the entire family system and the institutions that serve them, including schools, caregivers, and community organizations.

Our Founder

The National Gluten-Free Family & Allies Foundation was founded by Jeff G Pond, PhD, an educational leader with extensive experience in systems design, student safety, and family-centered support structures.

Dr. Pond has served in senior educational leadership roles, where his work has focused on building practical, research-informed environments that improve access, stability, and long-term wellbeing for students and families.

Recognizing a significant national gap in coordinated support for medically required gluten-free living, Dr. Pond established the Foundation to provide structured, evidence-informed educational resources for families, schools, and community institutions.

The Foundation is currently in its founding stage and operates under the leadership of its volunteer founding director while expanding national reach and governance capacity.
